A Case of Endodermal Sinus Tumor of the Ovary Treated with VAC and BEP Regimen

Abstract

|
|
The endodermal sinus tumor is a rare, malignant germ cell tumor that primarily affects children and young women. The important advances in the treatment of endodermal sinus tumor are the use of postoperative combination chemotherapy and the
monitoring
of the disease process by serum AFP.
We report a case of 30-year-old woman with endodermal sinus tumor of the ovary. This tumors was stage Ic.
Postoperatively, she received one cycle of VAC and three cycles of BEP combination chemotherapy. She has been still alive and free of disease for 11 months after operation.
